I’m Laura, the founder and therapist behind Creative Unbound Counseling. I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), National Counselor Certified (NCC), and a Registered Play Therapist™ (RPT™) with specialized training in EMDR and Trauma Informed-Care as well as a Professional Teacher’s License (K-6).

I am passionate about supporting clients across the lifespan, with particular experience working with children and adolescents, parent support, anxiety, neurodivergence, and self-esteem. My approach is collaborative, developmentally appropriate, and grounded in evidence-based practices.

Before opening my private practice, I worked in community mental health settings including Realistic Serenity Behavioral Health and the Animal Assisted Therapy Programs of Colorado. Prior to my clinical work, I spent several years as a 2nd and 3rd grade classroom teacher, which provided valuable insight into the social-emotional needs of children and the importance of strong family support systems.

At Creative Unbound Counseling, therapy is thoughtfully tailored to each client’s unique needs. Sessions may include play therapy, creative expression, or talk therapy, depending on age, comfort level, and goals. My goal is to provide a safe, supportive space where clients can explore emotions, build resilience, and strengthen their most authentic selves while accessing both internal and external resources for healing.

Outside of the therapy space, I love spending time with family and friends, creativity, connection, and exploring nature. I’ve called Colorado home for over a decade and appreciate the balance of curiosity, growth, and play that informs both my life and therapeutic approach.
